Timez Attack is a stunning new multiplication tables computer game. It’s as high-tech and entertaining as a top video game, yet as rigorous and effective as one-on-one training with a skilled teacher.
You really have to see it for yourself. Schoolwide and classroom licenses are also available.
This would be a great game if it wasn’t for the “bugs”. We have version 2.44 and it occasionally freezes when my son puts in an incorrect answer. The customer service dept. is very nice but they haven’t been able to resovle the problems.
My eight year old was having a little bit of a hard time with his times tables. After playing this game for a couple of hours, he was already a lot better. Its a great game.
I bought this game for my kids, at their request. It is a FPS with a twist, no guns, no violence, no foul language at all, just a familiar interface, zero learning curve, and real education hidden within a fun game.
Your character runs around a really great looking Quake-like set of levels and encounters mean math-wielding monsters. You have to use multiplication to defeat them and move on exploring the world…
My kids love it, and so do I. My 5 year old walks around the house saying ‘11 x 5 is 55′ now… Awesome.
Good job guys… where is my division addon?
I specialize in finding educational materials that actually do what they say and are practical for today’s children.
This is a product you can not do without if you have children. I have 5 children ranging in age from 7 to 16 who absolutely despise math.
You will not believe what they will do to play this game.
I have a 12 year old who cares very little for reading. He offered me a deal one day. If he reads for 30 minutes then I let him on to play Timez Attack for one hour.
Hooray!!
I introduced multiplication to my 7 year old 5 months ago. After fits of tears (his) and hair pulling (mine), I quit. I decided I would wait a while longer.
He saw the others playing Timez Attack and now he plays every day. He could not remember one fact while I tried to teach them. In 2 weeks he knows at least 20 multiplication facts.
If you are tired of the math wars or just have children who hate math, You owe it to yourself to get this game. There is a free version you can try. When you find out how much you love it just upgrade to the full version. You get more learning and more kicks with the full version.
Don’t worry, the free version does not require a credit card or other ‘Free Trial’.
It is absolutely free.
You owe it to yourself and your children to get this video game software.
I wish I had thought of this myself.
I do not work for or know personally any one involved in the making up of this company. My review is of my own personal experience. I just really believe in education. I spend a great deal of time looking for products that really work to educate our children. So when I find one, I am truly ecstatic.
It seems Amazon is currently out of Timez Attack.
If you can not find it here, email me with Timez Attack in the subject and I will tell you where you can get it.
My daughter picked up the multiplication very well, but she couldn’t make it past the 4’s. This is because the game actually gets harder at video game skill as you move up in numbers and my daughter couldn’t hack it. Also, the game is hard to control as far as movements, maybe a joy stick could make it better.
If the video game skills didn’t increase and get too hard, I would give this product an A+.
